At the ELI Mini Maker Faire, we are lucky to have Douglas Baldwin, a musician and fractal artist all in one package! You may have heard him performing his carefully crafted soundscapes on the stage during the Faire, or you may have seen him at his booth discussing the fractal art he generates through programs that use repeated mathematical patterns. Free Workshops for Makers of All Ages!

Ticket holders also get to register for free workshops to learn more about different maker fields.  Take your little one to try out the Instrument Petting Zoo, test out virtual reality, learn about the brain from a neuroscientist, join in the Horseshoe crab walk.Instrument petting zoo

Food, Research Vessels, and Robotics!

Plus Food trucks will be on site, the research vessel Sea Wolf will be open for tours, loads of hands-on booths with things to make in our 100′ long outdoor maker area plus three floors of making in the community center and more in the Maritime Explorium. We’ll also have robotics demos and musical performances all day long!

 

Free Parking!

What’s better than free parking in Port Jeff?  Look for the marked free parking lots.  The trolley (called the Port Jeff Jitney) will be available for transport from parking lots to the event!
